This policy explains what information Bear Mess Express LLC collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We’ve written it in plain English because you shouldn’t need a lawyer to understand what happens to your phone number.

What we collect

When you book a cleanup

Your name, mobile number, service address, email address if you provide one, the service you select, and any photos you choose to upload.

When you call or text us

Your phone number, the content of your messages, and any photos you send.

When we perform your service

Before-and-after photographs of the work area at your property.

When you pay

Payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.

Automatically, when you visit this website

IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referral information — including advertising parameters that tell us which ad or channel brought you here.

If you apply to join our crew

Name, contact details, the areas you’d work, vehicle type, work preferences, and — only if you choose to provide them — driver’s license and auto insurance documentation. Background checks are run only with your written consent.

How we use it

To schedule, dispatch, and perform your cleanup
To text you confirmations, crew updates, and completion photos
To process payment and send receipts
To resolve disputes and honor our Spotless Guarantee
To understand which advertising actually works, so we spend less on it
To meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations

Text messaging

We text you about your service: booking confirmations, which crew member claimed your job, arrival updates, completion photos, and occasional follow-up. You consent to these messages when you check the consent box on our booking form, or when you text us first.

We do not share or sell text messaging opt-in data or consent to any third party for marketing purposes. Your phone number and your consent to receive messages stay with us and our messaging provider, and are used only to deliver the messages described above.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.

Photographs

Photos are central to how we work. They document your property’s condition before and after service, verify the job was completed, and settle any question about what happened.

We may use job photographs in our marketing — website, social media, advertising — but only after removing identifying details. We do not publish house numbers, faces, license plates, or street addresses. If you’d rather we didn’t use your photos at all, email us and we’ll exclude them. No penalty, no argument.

Photos are kept for 24 months and then deleted.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement, including Google Analytics and the Meta advertising pixel. They help us see how people find and use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — the booking form still works.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that make this business run:

Jobber — scheduling, job records, invoicing
Jobber Payments — invoicing and card processing
Twilio — text messaging and phone service
Make — connecting these systems to one another
Google — analytics, advertising, maps, document storage
Intuit QuickBooks — accounting and contractor payments
WP Engine — website hosting

Each of these processes information on our behalf under their own terms. We also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property, or someone’s safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

Independent contractors

Cleanups are performed by independent contractors we dispatch. Your name, service address, and job details are shared with the assigned crew member solely to perform your service. Crew members are contractually required to keep that information confidential and use it only for the job.

How long we keep things

Job photographs — 24 months
Customer records, invoices, and tax records — as long as the law requires, generally seven years
Text message logs — 18 months
Website analytics — per each provider’s defaults
Crew applications we don’t move forward with — 12 months

Your choices

Stop texts: reply STOP to any message
Correct your information: email us
Request deletion: email us — we’ll delete whatever we’re not legally required to keep
Opt out of marketing photos: email us
Opt out of ad tracking: use your browser’s cookie settings, or the opt-out tools Google and Meta provide

Email ben@bearmessexpress.com for any of these. We respond within 30 days, usually the same week.

Children

Our services are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We’ll post changes here with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use our service after a change means you accept it.
